In the best tradition of the late twentieth century renaissance man, Julean Stevens has successfully taken the more demanding route through the realms of applied science and metaphysics to arrive as one of America's foremost visionary artists. he has been the seeker of truth in both the concrete and the abstract, and an advocate of both the works of man and nature.

Julean may well be the only one among that elite of fully representational artists today who has the secret clearance, track record and the requisite engineering skill to work for the space and defense establishment, and was project engineer for the construction of large-scale mechanized factories. Looking to the future, he intends to apply his artist-engineer perspective to movement, sound and space by exploring video, sculptural and holographic media.

Today, Julean Stevens has moved his successful visual arts practice to Los Angles, where he provides his special kind of expertise to corporations and advertising agencies as as doing privately commissioned work. His original artwork is presently centered in what he describes as his "Cosmic Goddess" period. This fantasy-realism genre of art seeks to "achieve Heaven on Earth by combining the sensual with the angelic." It reflects his mystical dimension as a Gateway to the Higher Self."
